Tennesseans For the Arts will be Virtually hosting Arts Advocacy Day 2024 on March 6th at 10am cst. We are asking you to join with fellow Arts Advocates this year as we bring you updates from the Tennessee Arts Caucus, Tennessee Arts Commission, National Assembly of State Arts Agencies, highlights on different regional art disciplines, information on Active Advocacy Practices, the Specialty License Plate Program, and Tn4Arts membership. What does it cost?


Arts Advocacy Day 2024 is FREE to all active Tn4Arts Members!

How long will the event last?


Grab your laptop or cellphone, pull up a chair, and maybe even some take out from your favorite local eatery because you won't want to miss this jam packed virtual event with Arts Advocacy Leaders from across the State of Tennessee.


Supporting Arts Advocacy Day 2024

We get it, you're busy! And so are our amazing speakers. The event lasts around an hour and a half. We will move from speaker to speaker through this fast paced multi topic agenda. How do I sign up?


It’s so easy! Just click below to go to our Arts Advocacy Day 2024 Website Page. There you will find a link to register and any updated info you might need. You will want to go ahead and register so that you receive all links and info to virtually attend on the evening before March 6th.





How will I know what to do on March 6th, 2024?


We will take care of it all! Once registered, you will be added to our virtual entrance list. We will remind you the week prior about the event and then you will receive an email the day before (March 5th) with the link to our Virtual Day on the Hill for supporting the Arts in Tennessee. Just click your invitation link a few minutes before AAD begins and you will automatically be joined to our group.

Step 2... Download AAD24 posters & more. Share, Share, Share!

A big part of Advocacy is spreading the word! We need your help in encouraging friends, family and colleagues to Join Tn4Arts so they can register for AAD24 and learn about the importance of protecting the funding of Art & Culture Grants provided by the Tennessee Arts Commission. Step 3... Advertise your FREE Arts & Culture Events on our Statewide Arts Calendar

Everyone will be watching which makes Arts Advocacy Day the best time to advertise your organization's upcoming free events on our Statewide Arts Calendar. This perk is totally free to Active Tn4Arts Organization Members! Click here to submit your event


Step 4... Share your Advocacy Success Story

We will be featuring our member success stories leading up to AAD and throughout the year so don't miss the opportunity to be visible to Tennessee Arts & Culture Lovers! Did your Legislator come to an event you invited them to? Did someone ask about your Specialty License Plate? Maybe you wrote a letter to your Representative. Each step, big or small, connects us to a larger movement and encouraging fellow advocates with positive examples is empowering. Click here to share


Step 5... Make sure your organization has their 100% Board Participation Emblem

Organizations that have all sitting board members with a Tn4Arts membership will receive a logo and certificate. This exclusive logo may be used on a member's website, printed media, or next to any place the member's logo might be. Step 6... Show Your Support and Get your Specialty License Plate

We must never forget, revenue from the specialty license plate program accounts for nearly 80% of the funding distributed annually by the Tennessee Arts Commission for grants to support the arts and sustain the work of our arts organizations. Tn4Arts members understand this funding is our lifeblood and protecting it is crucial. The TAC awarded over $9 million in grants for FY23 which help to fund the arts activities of more than 600 organizations and artists across all 95 counties in Tennessee.
