WHAT

WE DO

Tn4Arts works to support, defend and expand public funding for the arts. Our work is directed toward educating our members and allies on effective advocacy practice, supporting the work of our state's legislative arts caucus, and defending the specialty license plate program which provides 80% of the funds granted to nonprofit organizations by the Tennessee Arts Commission.

Tn4Arts works with Local Arts Organizations

From major cultural institutions to grass-roots community centers, Tn4Arts acts as a unified voice that supports the Arts for all Tennesseans.

Tn4Arts supports the Tennessee Arts Commission

The mission of the Tennessee Arts Commission is to cultivate the arts for the benefit of all Tennesseans and their communities. Their vision is a Tennessee where the arts inspire, connect and enhance everyday lives.

Tn4Arts engages legislators to protect & maintain funding for arts in TN through the Specialty License Plate Program

By purchasing an Arts Plate, you support arts organizations, schools and communities across Tennessee. Tn4Arts members understand this funding is our lifeblood and protecting it is crucial.

Tn4Arts supports & promotes the Art Caucus in the General Assembly

The Tennessee Arts Caucus promotes the importance of the arts. It helps facilitate valuable policy discussion on the importance of the arts in our state. The arts have an economic impact on our communities, define who we are culturally and should be a part of nearly every discussion that takes place in the Tennessee General Assembly.

Tn4Arts produces advocacy events and the annual Arts Advocacy Day each March

2025 Arts Advocacy Day takes place in MARCH, and is a VIRTUAL GATHERING.

Arts Advocacy Day is produced in partnership with the Tennessee Arts Commission.
